Hey, thanks for wanting to get to know us a little better. Fourth Coffee was founded by me, Kate Berger, in 2003. I put myself through school by working at coffee houses and cafés in Madison, Wisconsin. I loved the work so much that I decided that I would like to run my own café someday.
 
When I saw the location that would become Fourth Coffee, I knew it was the perfect spot to make my vision a reality. Well, five years later, I still love being a part of the friendly West Franklin neighborhood. I’ve gotten to know many of you by name, and am always happy to see all of the friendly faces when I come into work each day.

You've probably already guessed that I’m passionate about coffee. What you might not know is that I’m also wild about giving back to the community. That’s why I’m involved with the West Franklin Neighborhood Rotary. Whenever I can I’ll share opportunities for you, my customer, to get involved. Check out our latest project under Café Events.
 
 
Here’s a little bit about our baristas. While it's not everything you might like to know about them, it's a great place to get your conversations started when you come in!
 
KIM is currently an undergraduate student at the University and makes beautiful hand-made greeting cards in her spare time.

 
JOHN is an actor with the Children’s Theater. Look for him at Fourth Coffee when he’s not doing a show.

 

GINA is a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. She’s an excellent carpenter and recently completed her fourth(!) build with the group.
 
HEATHER met Kate in college where they worked at the same café. Be sure to ask Heather to tell you about Kate’s most embarrassing barista moment.
